Leadership

VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON

Community Leadership

Each member of our team has been carefully selected. We first seek out individuals that embrace our core values: professionalism, integrity, commitment and compassion. Additionally, empathy, great communication and willingness to go the extra mile are key attributes for anyone tasked with serving the residents of one of our communities.

Kelly Higdon, RN

Executive Director

Kelly Higdon is The Evergreen Inn’s newest Executive Director, starting in 2021. But she is not new to the community. She began as a caregiver in 1996, and became the community’s Director of Nursing in 2014.

Kelly was born in Vancouver and grew up in Camas. A graduate of Camas High School, she attended Clark College, earning a degree Psychology and Early Childhood Education. In 2002, she returned to Clark College and took classes in leadership, sociology and psychology and earned a Phlebotomy certification. In 2014, she became a Registered Nurse. She has earned a RCFE administrator certification and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. In 2016, Kelly was nominated for the Washington State Nurses Association’s Nurse of the Year Award.

Kelly has great passion for caring for others, particularly adults with physical and mental disabilities.

Kelly has four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing basketball and going on family adventures.

"I am very blessed to be part of the Agemark family. A chose to join this company because of their compassion for those we serve. Our mission is to treat everyone, including coworkers and residents, as family. This is something that I witness each day - from the founders of our company and management to staff at our community."

Candice Griffith

Wellness Coordinator

Candice is The Evergreen Inn’s wellness coordinator since November. She makes sure our residents are staying healthy and active.

When she was in high school her dad was sick so Candice with her sister decided to go to school to learn more about the medical field and what she could do to best care for him. She attended the CNA school and received her certifications.

Candice has two children, one daughter who is 13 and a son who is 2. She has a brother and a sister, both older than her. Her sister actually worked for the company as well for a bit of time before she moved out of state.

She likes to read, spend time with family and friends, taking family trips and playing games.
